I have fraternal twins, but through our multiples club, we know many families with identical twins. If you way that are indistinguishable, I would doubt you actually have twins. I have yet to meet a twin family where the parents could not tell the twins (even identical ones) apart. And a full-time caregiver would learn to distinguish between them. It may be something small from the way one leans her head to the left and the other doesn't to one always picks the purple toy first and the other picks the pink toy first. Maybe one eats yogurt and the other doesn't. Someone who is with the children for 30+ hours per week will notice some inconsistencies in behavior, demeanor or body language that will stand out. And this is if they are pre-verbal. If they are verbal, it's going to be even harder.

And you don't want to do this. To enroll them in daycare, you will be have to submit a medical record. If you enroll two children with one medical record, that constitutes fraud.

I recommend that you take the suggestion to talk to a daycare about sharing a spot between your two children.

+1 Do they have the same name? This is the dumbest idea EVER. If you really don't want them to both go, then ask if you can alternate days but let them know about both kids! Do they have an option of not going every day? Maybe one could go M-W and the other T-Th or something. Also keep in mind that it could be hard for them to be apart if they're used to being together -- some twins do. And how exactly did you plan on dropping one off without bringing the other along???

Pretty sure indistinguishable means the opposite of what you were trying to convey.

They have different dispositions habits etc. anyone who cares will see that they are indistinguishable. Just ask the school, any school. I don’t see why you would have to pay 2x I’d only one is enrolled at a time. Maybe 2 enrollment fees. But the tuition slot and ratio count is addressed since you manage the time.

I actually think it’s a cool idea if done transparently and with school support.

I would say "We call her Sweetiepie" and then train both girls to respond to that term of endearment.
