I drink about 2 RITC tumblers full of ice water a day, so 60oz total. I pee a lot.

I don’t like water at all and not really cold water either. I drink herbal (lemon and cherry) tea all day. No sugar or anything. Works for me and my pee is pretty light. I do agree with the poster that we often mistake thirst for hunger

The straw helps me too!

Recently I got a 64 ounce RTIC water bottle and I weigh 128 pounds, so it’s almost exactly what I need to drink for the whole day. I just fill it up in the morning and work on emptying it. It goes where I go. It’s a goal to finish it, like any other fitness or health goal. It takes work to get it done but I put in the effort.

About 2.5 to 3 liters a day. It’s a habit for me now and I don’t feel well unless I am getting my daily water in. I will say that the frequent needed bathroom trips go away after awhile. Hang in there!

I just bought 2 new large water bottles from Corkcicle. Very pretty. I made a goal of 3 bottles full at the office.

Keep water with lemons in the one at home. 2 bottle goal in am and pm.

Water stays cold.

Make sure you always have cold water available. The best thing we did in our house was to get one of those awful looking office cooler type things (we live in a foreign country, and the tap water is no good). Even though I really really hate the way it looks, the entire family is drinking so much more water. It's just more appetizing when it's ice cold.

What if you’re never really “thirsty”? I mean, I have coffee in the AM, but I wouldn’t say I’m thirsty unless I’m eating, and want something to rinse it all down.

+1. I'm never thirsty, unless I'm exercising. But I also might not be thirsty because I'm really hydrated. I drink about 100oz a day.

Anonymous wrote:I drink water from a tumbler with a straw, or a water bottle with a straw. I've noticed using a straw really helps me drink more because I drink more in one sip. Both my tumbler and bottle are 24 oz, and I usually find I drink around 125 oz a day. I started drinking more in pregnancy when I needed more, and just kept up the volume. I've heard adding fruit helps some people drink more.

This is what I do, too. And I agree, something about the straw makes it easier for me to drink more. My tumbler is also 24oz and I easily get through 4 a day without thinking about it much. This is just one of those little cheap and easy to do things that has made such a difference for me.

That's always been my gauge. Drink until my pee is like watered down lemonade.
