We have four kids.

OP here. We have 2 kids. The youngest will be out of the house in 7 years, trying to keep it together until then.

So you're an established family with kids, but you "weren't invited" out with him on NYE? What the heck? Now it makes even less sense.

This. This is the red flag. Don't have kids with him.

Yep. But we are living apart (temporarily) and he flew back home to another continent yesterday. Same as last year. Hopefully by next mew years he'll be here permanently...

Yes. Dh wanted to spend it with his family so we drove to my inlaws. We don't have a babysitter here so dh is going to a party with my inlaws while I babysit the baby and toddler. I'm pretty pissed because I always saw nye as a couples holiday not a family holiday.

His reasoning is that we saw my parents for Christmas so his family should get this holiday and we'll exchange Christmas presents tomorrow.

My husband is taking the kids skiing. Hanging with toddler who has cold. I'm not upset about it at all though. We are having girl time, doing nails, and eating treats ?

I read that NYE is the biggest night for cheating. People with choppy marriages will tend to hang on through the holidays. Then NYE is a time for change, involves a lot of alcohol, etc.

I am, but all signs point to divorce soon.

I’ve already popped some champagne, picked up food for tonight, plan to get a workout in around 5, then rent something on Amazon and watch it in my bathtub.

We spent it apart last year and maybe this year. I wanted to go out and he wanted to stay in. I went with our friends but both of us were invited!
