I was reading some article that analyzed women's dating patterns on Tinder. They followed a clear 80/20 pattern.
So, even if there are "plenty of men available," women immediately write-off the bottom 80 percent -- and that's just based on physical appearance. When you then factor in the typical DCUMers sky-high expectations for money and career, where anything less than six-figures is considered laughable, the pool of "eligible" men is small indeed.

Because finding the right partner for you is really difficult. A lot of us think we marry for the right reasons, whatever they are, and then find out that we picked badly. And then we don't know how to chose wisely after that. We see people who seem to have what we want in marriage and can't figure out how to get there if we leave the bad pick.
