You are:
Man or Woman: woman
Age: 39
Years Married: 7 years
On a scale of 1 (bad) to 10 (good):
My spouse respects me and appreciates what I contribute to the family: 10
My spouse compliments me / validates me / expresses appreciation to me: 10
My spouse has a good sense of how I feel and think about things: 7
My spouse is responsive to how I feel / think and supports me: 7
My spouse builds me up and makes me a better person: 5- we make a great team but are very independent in many ways. He is not my crutch nor am I his.
IMHO You only really need the top two on this list. I can't believe how lucky we got, especially when I read about the problems on here. Some of the guys I dated (and almost married) I would absolutely be in the shoes of those unhappy posters, I know it was sheer luck I'm not. I wish there was a better way to judge compatibility before kids/marriage. I think many ideas about romance really obscure an understanding of true compatibility.
