Because it's an awful car. Had one as a rental when our Highlander was in the shop after a car accident. Drives like a truck. Very uncomfortable and unwieldy.

Do all of these have 2nd row captains chairs? I had no idea there were so many choices

I would wait for the new Subaru though. We have an outback and love it, but it only has 2 rows of seating.

There’s nothing in the OP that indicates a need for an SUV over a minivan. The Sienna comes in AWD and access to the third row and leg room once you get there is much better than in any SUV, even for an adult.

So, yeah, that’s the best vehicle for what OP claims her priorities to be.

MDX Advance package has the captains chairs and a third row. It is about $6-8k more to have this feature.

Love my Flex! I thought I would hate it. The owner of the dealership is a good friend of ours and suggested I drive it before dismissing it. I didn't like the way it looked. I drove it and absolutely loved everything about it! It drives more like a car than an SUV. All three rows have plenty of room. The seats fold easily which is important for us. We have two large dogs who ride in the back. It's just a great vehicle for our family.

Acura MDX definitely has that as an option. Lovely car, though I'm pretty sure the option with captain chairs is more expensive than a Pilot.

We have the enclave and have loved it.

My BIL sells Volkswagens and he absolutely loves the new VW Atlas. He says it is better than the Pilot.

The Acura MDX has this as an option, I think it's on their Advance package.
