OP here and I know I have health anxiety. It's horrible feeling so anxious all the time. The discharge stopped coming from my butt. Friend said when she had piles, the same thing happened to her so here's hoping it's just that.

OP, please google fistulas. You don't have to have had a child to get one.

You really need to make an appointment with a g.i. Posters here have been kind and helpful but this is not substitution for medical advice.

No, you can't really see a fistula from just the cheeks. Nurse would have had to look inside.

They are common in Crohn’s disease, even in men. Childbearing is not the only cause. See a GI.
