Mommy and Mama.

Morphed into Mom and Ma when DC were too cool to call us Mommy or Mama.

Are either of you from another country? Meaning Italian-American, German-American, whatever. You can also do that language's equivalent of Mom for one of you, if you feel culturally connected in any way. My kids call my mother Oma, my DH calls my mother Mutti, as do I--but I am German, not German-American. But I do have friends who do similar things and they are a generation or more removed.

My wife and I do this too. She calls her mom “mommy” so that’s her, and I call my mom “mama” so that’s me.

And DS has been correcting people who mix it up since age 2.

It'll evolve. My friends' families mostly go by Mama Larla and Mama Larlee.

What about when the kids get older? Teens don't call their mothers Mommy or Mamma.

Our teens call us Mom and Ma. (From mommy and Mama, originally)

We were originally Mom and Mommy. But the kid is now 11y and we've morphed into both being Mom. If the wrong one answers, he will say, "no, the other one."

We tried letting him decide what to call us when he was a toddler, but he called us Mom and Other Mom (Other Mom being the non-bio parent just by happenstance.) DW HATED being Other Mom and hence we became Mom and Mommy until he was about 9y.

There is a FB group called Queer Mamas. There are a TON of threads about this. There are so many options out there.

This is hands down the #1 question we get about being a 2 mom family.

I’m a 40 year old woman and I call my mother Mama. Thais said, one of my sons sometimes just says “mom” and usually we know who he means due to context or he will revert to Mama and Mommy.
