One of my friends got engaged and I'm not in the wedding party, so I'm just minding my own business. Literally - I have a seven-figure company and little time on my hands. Especially not to follow-up every weekend or go to cocktail parties unless I'm specifically hunted down. I'll show up at the wedding with a fabulous gift and I'm sure your friend will to.

I mean, what else do you want from her? Call your bridesmaids for flower hunting and taste testing demos.

I'd definitely reach out to her. Do a kind gesture for her (like mail her a care package). You don't know how stressful having kids can be, especially if someone gets sick or there's some kind crisis. She's your good friend, give her the benefit of the doubt.

She sounds busy, maybe her baby is difficult. How many text you sent? Maybe she lost her phone?

Try texting or e-mail. It's easy to forget about returning a missed call but it's easier to flag an e-mail or text for follow up.

Been divorced for quite a while and most of my friends that were that judgemental left years ago, thankfully

The question is still unanswered.....

My guess is she thinks you are rushing things, especially since you have a kid.

I'd say she's ducking you to avoid bridesmaid duties but it sounds as though you've already picked your bridesmaids if you've already sent the invites out. Is it possible that she's feeling hurt because you did not ask her to be a bridesmaid?
