Let me take a guess... his turning down the sex caused your self esteem to take a hit, didn't it? You cheapened yourself by offering to stay connected to him at any cost. He in turn saw it for what it was and decided your sex was not worth the hassle. Double whammy

Sex is easy to find. Good sex less so. Good sex with someone you know and trust? Even more rare.

When I was single, I turned down opportunity for just sex after the relationship ended. It wasn't worth the headache, plus I was always skeptical it would stay just sex and she would be ok with me also sleeping and dating others.
