Most U.S. car buyers actually agree w/me as Japanese cars top all the other cars in longevity.
Over not just domestic brands but also German + Korean brands.

Why not also consider the Sienna? My mechanic friend says they are better than the Odyssey.

I'm the PP you replied to and I'm not "yanking your chain." What I meant was that there aren't that many mini-vans on the market. A few years ago, Chevy and Ford also made mini-vans, so you had more options.

The Dodge Durango is a fantastic choice for SUV. Proven relialibillity in the current 3rd gen platform wii no surprises. The base models handle great, excellent power, all wheel drive, and acceptable MPG. Minivan options are truly slim on quality in all brands foreign and domestic.
A person who picks a Dodge over Honda knows nothing about cars.

I'd get another mini-van. It'll run for 10+ years. By that time your kids will be older and you can get an SUV that's more FOR YOU than for them.
