I usually spend between $30 and 80 for jeans. I've been finding good ones at Loft of all places - their petite modern skinnies are great.

Uniqlo used to be my go-to place - cheap and good, and you can get the hemming done in the store - but that was when I was in NYC a few times a year and could swing by the store, and alas those days appear to be over for now.

It should not bug you if you are wearing them everyday and you really like them. Thats not expensive for new jeans.

Depends what I am wearing them for. My walk the dog jeans are about $30 from H & M. My going out jeans are usually more expensive, but last longer. I think I paid $79 for my last good pair.

Under 150. But I try to find them in Saks off 5th in the $75-80 range.

I agree $7 isn't worth stressing over. $27 is a normal price for average quality jeans that are new.

Well then I would lose my job, since I solicit large gifts from people in order to be able to continue to provide a critical service to low income seniors that is not a "mandatory funding" item from govt. and is in no way going to be a void filled by private sector only- since there is little profit with those who are low income.

Guess what? All my (pretty small portfolio of) stakeholders are wearing jeans that are $26 and up. All of them. They all have their priorities straight, I can tell you that. By this logic, no one at all should drive anything more than the base model kia or whatever the cheapest car on the market is. (and this is from someone who only buys used cars!).

I usually go to a Ross in a rough area to buy jeans. There, they are in the $15-$20 range. I’m not particular about brand but very particular about cut and feel. Usually I can find one or two that meet my demands.
