I had a few one night stands but they were the direct result of my problem drinking. With sober judgment, I would not have done it. Was alcohol a factor?

Why would you be upset? You initiated it. Just because the sex was good for you and him doesn't mean he has any emotional connection with you. You could've just been a hooker as far as he was concerned...only you were free and legal. Just enjoy what you did and move on...I'm sure he already has. If you get approached by other men at the next charity event, then you know he told everyone about it.

I've been married for 10 years and with my husband for years before that but I had plenty in my 20s. To be fair at the time i usually wanted more.

I've had many one-night-stands. I never contacted them afterward. I usually got up and left as soon as they fell asleep. That's the point. You aren't looking for a relationship with them, it's just sex. I'm female, btw, and I've noticed that for some reason many women want to read more into it than what it actually is.

PP here - It was great. I was so uninhibited knowing it was just a ONS. I told him exactly what I wanted and he was very good at it. I'm now in a LTR and from that experience I've learned to be very open about what excites me.

It wasn't my proudest moment but at that point in time I just needed sex. I had no expectation that it was going to be anything but a ONS. He did wave at me the next day!
