So glad I do not live in VA. Great role model for our kids. Have fun explaining that one to your 7 or 8 year old.

I explained it to my 8 yo months ago. He doesn't get why it's a big deal to let people be who they feel they are.

I've explained it to my ds and he doesn't get how someone can magically change their gender. I'm not sure how to explain that, other than to say that's what they think they are. But I don't know how to explain why everyone else is therefore required to pretend that it is so.

If you used magic in your explanation, no wonder he didn't get it.

I really don't see why we need to make a big deal out of this.

When he grows up and goes into the world feeling like an adult baby, a penguin, or a pineapple and dresses like one on a daily basis, he'll see what the big deal is.

If you had a daughter, you'd also have to explain to her why as good as she is, that transgendered male to female will probably take the title away from her because of an unfair advantage.

Nobody is saying this.

Good for your son! Isn’t it funny how kids are so accepting until we teach them not to be?

Hi dinosaur, extinction is knocking at your door. Your 7-8 year old will outlive the old ideas that will die with you.
