Op, if you want to be a friend (and a good person) you need to be less self involved. You confided in this friend constantly, to the point that you felt uncomfortable. She tells you she's pregnant and you go running for the hills (in clear on exactly what support she's asking for that you can't give). It's not healthy. This is how you end up alone with no one to talk to. You need to muster up the strength to be a good friend. End of story.

Friend stopped responding to you so this triggered your anxiety because you became concerned she'd hurt herself. When she did contact you,it was to let you know she's pregnant

You are mad because she didn't apologize for triggering your anxiety by not responding. So you told her it was best not to be friends?

Am I getting this right? If so, you're being self absorbed and maybe a little too involved with her. Probably good to take a break.
