I've started kicking dogs out of the way. Not kicking like a soccer ball, but shoving away with my foot.
Your dogs shouldn't be going up to people, and as an owner it's your total responsibility to be in control of your animal at all times, by your side, and to move it out of the way.
Otherwise, I'll shove it myself if you can't be bothered to care for your own pet.

Dog owner (2) and I think its awful. I have a traffic leash and keep it tight around people. Dog owners need to remember even though they are our beloved pets, they are animals and they bite. If my dog bit someone I would feel horrible and worse if he had to be put down because of it.

I would call the cops if you did this to my dog. Hurting animals is a sign of a sociopath.
Call the cops. They'll tell you to keep your dog from making unwanted contact with people.

This. I have 2 dogs and get out of the way when people walk by. But many people approach them - which is fine but they will get licked.
I have rarely had a dog randomly jump on me and lick me and sniff me. Most people I see walking their dogs have them under control. But yes bad dog owners exist as well as bad parents that let their kids touch everything.
