I have a 2003 pilot with 237,000 miles. I drive it everyday in ny traffic. I changed the timing chain at 100,000 before my warranty expired. Changed the ignition lock. Otherwise there haven’t been any major repairs beyond wear and tear.

My Pilot is up there 219,000 I have to replace the starter now. Got a battery for it yesterday. Still didn't start. It has been giving us warning signs. I don't drive it everyday. I would have noticed. The starter was killing the battery. Well now I have the start at the starter lol. If that's not it. The Honda Pilot will going to the shop. We have went to Disney World and back with all the children. So I'm very grateful it happened at home in the parking spot.

Yes, change the timing belt it is way overdue. You don't want that to go. It would be an expensive fix. Unless you are planning on selling the car but the next person would probably want everything to be properly maintained.

Yes!! We got the timing belt changed last year at 206,000 miles on our Honda and plan to drive it another 2-3 years! My dad had 300,000 miles on his 20 year old Honda when he hit a deer and totaled it one night. He’d still be driving it otherwise. He just bought a new Honda.

Wow! This thread makes me feel good about purchasing our 2018 Pilot. Honestly, I was nervous because our 2004 Odyssey wasn’t a great car. So far, we love the Pilot and we’re hoping to get a minimum of 10 years out of it. At the rate we accrue miles, that will be 180k. For those with older ones, you wouldn’t believe the safety and technology advances that have been made in the last few years. We had no idea what we were missing.

I own an 05 Honda Pilot. Bought it in 07 with 27,000 mikes on it. Just turned over to 300,000 miles after a 2500 mile round trip to Yellowstone recently. Felt 100% confident in the vehicle making the trip. Still has the original engine and transmission neither of which has been touched. Even the timing belt is original. Repairs i have made over the years include brakes, rotors, tires, batteries, power steering pump, both front wheel bearings and a radiator. I dont have a hitch on it and maybe thats why the transmission is still good. I have absolutely no reason to stop driving this vehicle. Even if the engine or transmission went out, i think i would fix it because everything else is still perfectly fine. I would buy Honda again without hesitation. Eric and Heather

I feel much better after seeing someone said they have a 2004 Honda@ 398,000 miles! I have a 2003 Honda Pilot with 355,000 miles, it runs great! Have a booming stereo system, a.c. and heat, but it has "minor" things wrong, like key tumbler issues, rear a.c. was broken for years, but I fixed it( May 2018) thanks to YOUTUBE! I bought the resistor on EBAY for $10.50 and saved myself $300-700.00 according to others who got a quote from Dealers and Repair Shops! I was wondering if I need to put a third timing belt on? I was thinking my car was at the END! Maybe not huh? I may get the 2 -3 years out of it that I'm hoping for!! I guess I will! My mechanic said he has another customer who has 450,000 miles on hers! Dang! I ? HONDAS!!!!

My 2008 Honda Civic has 156,000 Miles - I drove it cross country twice, lots of heavy commuting, lots of road trips. I love this car. It’s probably on its last legs. But I just moved to the city (boston) and can walk everywhere, including work, and my fiancé and I are going to just share his car if I ever need it.

What should I do with it? I’d only get a couple grand TOPS (I’m just guessing) so it’s not worth it for me to get rid of a working car. Should I park it at my parents and just keep it there for now? (No parking spot in the city and I’d have to constantly check on it if I park it in the street).

Gotta love a Honda!

My 2006 CR-V only has 85k miles on it so I imagine I will have it for at least another decade.

I just got a new Honda Pilot and I am loving it. I do plan to pass it down to my kids when they start driving---though the older one will probably get the CR-V in HS.

I just traded in my 2000 Acura with 175k miles on it. Still running great, but at 18 years old it was starting to require a lot of repairs. Plus, I really wanted all the safety features. I am blown away by all the "goodies" in my new ride, and I'm learning something new every day.

I have 2006 Honda Pilot with 258,000 miles and still running strong.

My 2005 Pilot has 120k! Like new! I love, love, love my Pilot like crazy. It's been the baby mobile, the carpool car, the reliable family vacation SUV (Maine, GA, OBX) and now it's going to be our new driver's transport. Terrible on gas though so now relegated as back up/extra. Replaced with gas sipping Subaru.

It's inexpensive? to rent a vehicle for travel. My Cadillac is verging on 200k, and because I want to have it for every day driving, I either drive our yr old vehicle, or we rent. Good vehicles will keep going and going if you treat them right. My 2004 SRX is my baby. That Northstar V8 will run, by God. I love to race people in it. (Sorry, I am just quite attached to my car ).

My mechanic has a customer whose pilot is at 400k and is still going strong.
