Curious, about how much was food & alcohol combined? Not trying to be nosy, just comparing. I hosted a bday party for DH's birthday, but he wanted a lot more people so we did a restaurant.
I would say about 2,200? Our friends are drinkers though! The tasting menu on the roof is a little more involved than in the dining room. It was really cool to be on the roof, but I feel like I should have been a bit more blown away.

My husband was so anxious about what to get me for my 40th that he ended up getting me something totally ridiculous - a food of the month club. Then he forgot to cancel it. And the food stunk. When it first happened I was actually a little upset - and I am NOT a high maintenance person, was just a little worked up about turning 40 - but after a while I found it funny. He is still irritated I didn't like it, though.
