I went on a date with a guy like this once, but the weird thing was he wasn't particularly good looking.* But he brought up how he "knew [he was] a good-looking guy," unprompted, twice. It was weird af and felt like he was trying to say he had really high standards for his partner's looks. I didn't see him again, but I'm not sure I would have cut him off for just that. He was also boring so there was nothing positive to weigh against his alarmingly high self esteem.

*(What he was was exceptionally tall, like 6'8" or something. Everyone looked at him when he walked into a place and he had turned that into "Good GOD I'm handsome!" in his head, but he had that weird borderline-giantism bone structure thing that people sometimes get when their super tall.)

That's what I think, too!

I actually think there's nothing wrong with what he said. He probably is gorgeous. It's ok to know that most people think so. It's ok to say it loud one time.

Next time, she should order something for the morbidly obsese - fried chicken, meatloaf & mashed, a big porterhouse - no salad - see what happens to that gorgeous face of his.

Id think the guy did not share my sense of humor. It's not a deal breaker comment, but not one to ignore, either. Need more information.

It's an old Vulcan mind trick he's subliminally programming her to be enamored with him.

To me it just sounds like he's been burned before by women who just wanted him because he was hot. I think someone who was narcissistic would capitalize on their attractiveness, not use it to rule women out.

There's no harm in continuing to date him and see how it goes.

I just think his humor was misunderstood. You can't really tell unless you meet him in person.

He's probably really insecure and isn't feeling the love from your sister so he says that in an attempt to get her to respond in some way. That's my take.

I don't know, I might say it in a joking way (Because I know I'm not gorgeous). Depends on the way it was delivered.
