i live in Darien and it takes about an hour to get to grand central. The pp is correct that the town lacks diversity. Still, i think it's a lovely town.
it takes longer from new canaan or westport. (new canaan you have to switch trains)
It takes less time to grand central from greenwich. Also, note there are several stops in greenwich so depending on which stop you get on will affect travel time
also note that some trains take less time because they make less stops! you just have to check the schedules
