Right. Prices are still expensive outside the beltway. People want nice house, commutable, good schools and community feel. Walkability is not always on the top of he list.

Davidsonville is actually an awesome place to live. Most people there are professionals working in DC, Annapolis or Baltimore. Plenty of lawyers, doctors, accountants, government workers, etc. Not so many dairy farms or fishing boats. Although being close to the water is a huge bonus (for recreation, not for work!)

Actually, the schools in Anne Arundel county are supposed to be good. Like anywhere, there are pockets of bad schools, but in that neighborhood, the elementary school is ranked quite high. And the high school is one of the top 20-30 in the state.
