If you are pregnant with a chihuahua or some other little yippy dog then go for it.

OP here. Not interested in Patricia at all. Tricia is a nn for Patricia.

I personally like Bea a lot. Beatrice is a very strong woman's name. I always liked the character in Shakespeare and she was the inspiration for Dante.

I do too, because of this:

"I am Bea
I drink tea
Won't you dance around with me"

I love Trixie as a nn! Personally, I would spell it Beatrix but, I suppose Beatrice would be fine.

I was thinking of this for my DD but, went with another name.

Nice choice!!

I'm probably in the minority here, but I instantly think of Trixie Mattell from RuPaul's Drag Race.

Loved those books! And loved how her best friend would say, "How's Trix?"

Did she ask her father how he knows whores' names?

She didn't mention it, but it's possible. She just told him there should be no problem, just call the kid by the first name.

Adorable as long as you're not in the Chicago area. It has a pejorative association there: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Trixie_(slang)

As for associations, I think of Beatrice Potter. Trixie does seem like a name you might give your dog.

Except she was Beatrix Potter, not Beatrice. I think trixie belongs with Beatrix and Tricia belongs with Beatrice, but I'm a purist.

Any thoughts about this nickname or name associations?

I have 3 associations.

1. Problem Child 2
2. Chad and Trixie (Chicago slang)
3. Knuffle Bunny
