But--we all love the outdoors. We swim in gorgeous lakes and my kids love the cold ocean.
I have been eating pounds of lobster and haddock nothing fried. My 9-year old is going to grow a shell soon he loves the lobster so much.
We are near a small town with better restaurants than anything in DC. The population is highly educated. No dumb white trashy lume most of Atlantis.
I never want to come home.
Glorious 75 degree days and a light sweater at night.
No swamp ass and stifling humidity.
I hate to state the obvious, but if you were having that great a time you'd not waste it writing on this forum. live the moment!

Beach anytime you want because it's two blocks away, playing with the free-range (sometimes feral) island kids, diving off a splintery dock a sunset, climbing around on the rocks exploring tide pools, movies in the community center, walking to the ice cream shop. Maybe she would like Atlantis, but I don't know that the joy:price ratio would be worth it.

Not everyone likes the beaches. There is plenty to do in Nantucket that can fill your time without even going in the ocean or sound.
There plenty to do at Atlantis too. I've actually been there a half dozen times and never been to the beach.
That's great but, I still prefer Nantucket, thank you.
Do you have kids? Ask them if they want to go to Atlantis this year instead of Nantucket. I bet their eyes will light up.

It's a good thing that there's others things to do, because the beach there is frigging cold.
