well none of us live in Ohio. You have to consider context. In DC, it probably is closer to 400k plus. You can get to 300k with two government lawyer salaries and they're always complaining about not having enough money on the financial forums.

True - it depends on dual income or not. DH makes 250k and I stay home. We are in better shape than our friends who make the same but pay for childcare and we are worse off than our single guy friend who makes 220k and has no children related expenses or a mortgage.
