Every color dates at some point.

For years they said that shades of cream were timeless, until apparently they weren't anymore.

We did everything BM Edgecomb Gray. It's a beigey gray.

BTW - The BM paint store near us has a designer who will come out for $100 or so to consult on colors for your house. Then you get 10% off the paint. You could try that if you're not sure.

Our whole house is a light gray and I really like it. It's a nice neutral backdrop. We have large scale art work throughout our first floor and our window shades are a dark color, not boring white. Upstairs, we put wall decals and artwork up in the kids' rooms and they have really colorful bedding so the gray just blends in.

I think it will be fine. At least it's neutral.

My home is painted BM Platinum Grey, except the bathrooms. Never regretted it.

As long as the accents are bright and varied, I think it works really well.

Like a lot of BM paints, the paint chip looks different than the actual paint color.

Plain grey?
Hate it, even when it was the height of fashion, which it's not nowadays.

However, what's very elegant is to add a touch of grey to a blue, or green.
You could also do a creamy pink, or light peach.

Go for it. A whole house wall color should disappear, meaning it should not be the first thing you notice when you walk through the house. It sounds like you've found a shade that does just that. If you have warm maple cabinets and light floors, I think a cool color will work better than off white. Go for it.

Another revere pewter here, and it's a great greige that handles cool and warm colors/furniture well. Gray can go bad REALLY FAST, so be sure you test out samples.

No regrets, and a single color throughout is very classy.
