Anonymous wrote:Totally agree that the woman having the affair looks SO much older. There's a 7 year age difference in real life between her and Cobie Smulders, but it looks like a lot more than that.

Another PP mentioned they thought Fred Savage was a bad actor, but I thought he was (surprisingly) hilarious. Most of my laugh out loud moments came from him and not KMK, who I find annoying as hell. His stupid voices and manic antics are SO grating.
I thought Cobie Smulders did a fantastic job. I wasn't familiar with her prior to this show, but she can really act - hilarious and also poignant.
I have so many questions about Sam. She must have been only 22 when her oldest daughter was born? Seems strange. Also, why didn't she and Ethan marry in the first place?
That was Sam's stepdaughter, it was explained a few times throughout

Exactly! They seemed like 5 years out of college not 20.
It's as though someone found an old script they wrote in college.
(Lastly, it's completely superficial, but the women are so much better looking than the men overall. Fred Savage can't act and is only there b/c he survived as a child actor and didn't OD. He's like watching a piece of cheese melt. Plus, note to Kevin Nealon-clone, fake tan and ultra white teeth bleaching only draws attention to your hideous ferret teeth. If there's a stupid script, I want to see more attractive people behaving badly.)

I wonder if it was meant to signify that they weren't ready to commit to a place.
