I'm a teacher and a parent of a kid with inattentive ADHD. I can tell when a child in my class or my own child has missed stimulant medication.
But there's no way that I'd be able to distinguish between sleep deprivation and ADHD-inattentive in a kid who I had never seen sleep deprived before. The symptoms of the two are very similar.
Do you wish you were allowed to tell the student who doesn't want to take medication how better they would be doing in school if they did?

Subject: Camp Overnight and Skipping 1 Day of Meds
I take Zoloft and if I miss one day my mood is very low and the anxiety is pronounced. My DD takes Concerta and I don't think it matters if she misses her meds...if she were taking an SSRI I would definitely check with the doctor. It is very dangerous to skip doses of certain types of meds.
