When my kid was in PK4, his older sister was at a different school with a different spring break. So I pulled him from school during her spring break; no one cared at all. Over the course of the year, he ended up having 9 "unexcused" absences and no one ever said anything to me.

Also there are a ton of days off in October because of Fall break. book your trip around that which is what I'm doing for pre-k 3.

And you're more 'at risk' if your child is an OOB student (or attends a charter school).

At our JKLM, one of my kid's pre-K classmates left for three weeks to visit the family's home country. They had the child withdraw and then re-enroll when they got back so it wouldn't trigger a violation of the attendance policy. But two days is fine.

No big deal. My kid missed far more than that for visitation with the non custodial parent (court ordered, ended in Kindergarten). My child is a great student so the school didn't mind.

At our school they give detention to the parents after one week. You sit with the social worker and they tell you why school is important and then ask how your vacation was.

My kid missed around 12 days of PK3 last year. I got a call from the school and a "warning" but they are mainly making sure your kid isn't being abused or missing. I'm sure it's a much bigger deal once K starts. Charters can kick you out though.
