For stage management, how many schools will your student apply to?

I gave a rising Junior with similar stats. We are starting visits this fall.

That was not what we saw on recent visit

Muhlenberg has a large Jewish community. I remember abn article in the last year or so abt them expanding kosher dining. In looking for that I found this campus Hillel page that says ~ 30% of students identify as Jewish. http://www.muhlenberg.edu/hillel/contacthillel/

Also they do a great job reaching out and supporting well prepared low-income students who might not otherwise be able to afford a small private college

Their food is consistently rated very highly.

Definitely opt to interview with them if you are interested in merit aid or any of their honors programs. They look very favorably on those interviews and they can be done over the phone. They have been very generous with their merit aid.

+1

My son got a large merit aid offer from Muhlenberg. It seems like a great school, definitely worth a visit. Be sure to schedule an interview.

A 34 ACT and B+ avg and these are the best options? Really? This is very discouraging.

Good to know you think stage management/digital media/communications is a clown degree. Thanks for your input, Dean Wormer.

I attended Slippery Rock. With a 3.4 GPA you'd be eligible for the OOS tuition reduction which would bring that cost down to about $14k.

I have been to Muhlenberg a few times over the past two years and would not describe it as preppy. I would say it has more of an artsy, drama kid vibe with a bunch of pre med students mixed in. It is well known for accommodating students with special learning needs and very open to the LBTGQ community. Muhlenberg was recently rated #1 for its theater program by Princeton Review. It is well know for it's very strong pre-health curriculum and has a very high admission rate to medical school-- maybe 90%. It is very strong in the sciences and has its own neuroscience department. Muhlenberg has a very warm and welcoming environment where the kids feel immediately at home. A lot of the kids hail from New Jersey.

Here's a link to some fast facts about the school: http://muhlenberg.edu/main/aboutus/muhlenberg-at-a-glance/

But oftentimes the faculty's views differ greatly from the college town and/or the student majority. I found this during the election about one of my DS's prospects. The college's social media posted the mock election results of both students and faculty. Students were overwhelmingly for Trump while faculty was overwhelmingly for Clinton. (And while I don't have the returns for the county of the college, I know it skews conservative.)

Well, neither Shenandoah nor CNU are very big (<5000) so there is little if any "influence".

And how the way people vote in Winchester affects Shenandoah University how? The conservatory only plays John Philip Sousa marches?

Also, the OP did not include schools like Liberty University on the list.
