Op here. Studies actually show an inverse relationship between intelligence and religiously, but don't let that stop you from calling me a bigot. The laughable part is that the religious folks are usually the bigots shoving gays back in the closet or having them undergo conversion therapy, or via the patriarchal culture of evangelicalism ensuring women are submissive to their husbands, giving it up on command, or pumping out tons of kids whether they want to or not, or when Mormons wouldn't see blacks as equals until recently...those are the kinds of things that religion does that are so offensive. It's dogmatic bullsh*t that does more harm than good. Ask all the kids molested by sexually repressed priests whether they're offended. have you ever considers those things?
Why does it matter? This is all illusion. The world existed before humans. It will exist afterwards. What you and others do or don't do, won't matter in the grand scheme of things. Consider a change of scenery. Maybe move to Belgium.

I'd like to see the back of bigoted OP too. But Belgium isn't the place for her--lots of Catholics and Muslims in veils that would surely offend snowflake OP's delicate sensibilities. Also all those ancient and glorious cathedrals that OP would have to pass, averting her eyes, on the way to get her groceries. The Ghent Alterpiece is fab, too bad OP would boycott this and other religious bits of Belgium culture.
Don't visit Israel or Saudi Arabia, OP.
In the end, OP is going to make herself outraged wherever she lives. If she can't appreciate how good she has it in the US, she's going to be outraged anywhere.

STUDIES SHOW black people score lower on IQ tests and are engaged in more criminal activity than the whites. So I'm sure you also hate them too, right, because "studies"?!?!?! No. You, OP, who are obviously a liberal, probably have (rightly) a nuanced view that takes into consideration the historical factors that explain what "studies show." Why don't you try doing the same for religious people? They tend to be less educated and lower class, yes, because poverty sucks and religion helps deal with it and also religion helps sustain communities and order otherwise chaotic lives. And, guess what, there may actually be a God after all, who knows? I find the anti-religion crowd so tiresome.

Dude. I regularly drive past a church with a pride flag out front. I go to a synagogue where we read the portions about the burning bush and the snake, but I know plenty of people there fighting global warming, and we are LGBT friendly.
I am tired of how religion is equated to fundamentalism, esp Christian fundamentalism.
But, yeah you SHOULD feel guilty. Unless you have called your mother in the last two days.

Time to brush up on your US and Biblical history. It sounds like you don't know that there is a talking snake in Genesis
