OP, I am a Trinity alum and frankly, it leans right politically - not left. Lots of kids of wealthy Republican families.
Kids rejected from Dartmouth (and Vandy) feed Trinity.

Headed to St. John's College in Annapolis. Not all that preppy, but I loved the extremely academic feel of the place when I visited. I'll get an excellent classical liberal arts education.
Well done, that's a prestigious college. Do you plan to spend any time in the Santa Fe college? And will you come back and answer questions about St John's generally? I think that could prove to be very helpful to a lot of folks here.
I don't plan to spend any time in Santa Fe.( I'm not much for the extreme heat and rugged terrain of the west) I'm certainly willing to come back and answer questions. Maybe I'll post something about my experience after the first semester.
