I don't think a group of teenagers going to grab a bite to eat after a religious event were looking to "trust" anyone. They were likely looking to hang out with their friends, mind their own business, and grab some french fries before a long day of fasting.
As for pp who said that "something doesn't add up" ... well... when's the last time a man assaulted and killed a stranger, where things DID actually add up? When does it make sense to you know, just attack and kill someone you get in a dispute with? Of course it doesn't add up, because violent and angry scumbags never have a sensible reason.
