AS long as it’s maintained I would be surprised if it didn't make it to 300k

Just bought a Honda Clarity Touring edition today, after having multiple Hondas. We also have a CRV Touring edition. Love them, never had a breakdown or unusual/expensive repair. If the Pilot is an around town sort of car, think reasonable to keep it longer if you’re happy with it. If you’re driving kids around alone at night or taking cross country trips, and can afford it, might be time to replace it with another Honda. I expect to easily get 200,000 miles on any Honda if you do oil changes and routine maintenance.

Our 2005=pilot has 230000. I can drive it to California tomorrow
It’s simply a reliable machine, if you take care of it, it will keep running![google]

We had a Honda - the 5 or 6th our family has owned - and they last forever. But:

- Honda puts crapy brakes on their cars/vans. Lots of repairs!

Also: airbags get better and better each year; if your old Honda doesn't have the latest (including side-curtain airbags for the kiddos in the rear seats) then it just is not as safe as newer Hondas.

2005 Pilot with 110k miles. I love it. Just replaced with new Subaru and now the Pilot is relegated to DD16 car.

Any Honda under 100k will go strong for another 100k miles with regular oil change& maintenance. You don't need to replace something that's not broken.

Yeah. New loaded Pilots are probably north of 40k. $1500 repair? Much cheaper.

1999 Honda Accord. 298k miles. RIP 2016. Still running but oil leaks and pretty ugly.

2005 Odyssey 175K. Still runs ok. Some work needed and eats oil. 2 major issues.

2015 Chevy Equinox. Stalling due to failed Camshaft 2017. Left me stranded. ?

I would agree with your husband. I have a 2003 Pilot (1st year model) which we picked-up in October of 2002 and it currently has 261,500 miles on it. I plan on driving it until it dies because I've enjoyed not having a car note for 12yrs, not too many people can say that . Unless something is wrong with your truck, why get rid of it? Good luck in your decision.

Wow, >200K is pretty good and OP's car is only 10 yrs old so it probably doesn't look too dated.

My 2005 Pilot with 235K on it just recently conked out and the repairs would’ve been $1500 (with the car being worth about $2000) so we decided to get rid of it but up until that point we had literally zero issues with it at all.
