We have the Fllo for home and Cosco for travel and a 1000 square foot apartment. Do it! You won't regret the lighter seat for travel.

not crazy at all.

We have a travel convertible carseat. Our regular seat is heavy, and it's nice to be able to travel without uninstalling/reinstalling the carseat (especially b/c we usually drive to airport). I also like knowing that we have the option to install it if we need to take another kiddo somewhere since for example I'll be backup child care for her toddler when my best friend goes into labor. But it does take up a lot of room.

We got 3 fllos (each parent and nanny)

We used the fllo on planes for a while, as they are narrowest seats and work well. But they are heavy.

Just switched to a cosco for travel only. Worked great. Toddler loved the cup holders on the plane and slept 3 out of the 5 hours we flew the other day. Super light, loved it.

Not at all. We have a lightweight cheap seat we use exclusively for travel and two fancier ones we keep in our cars.

I have a fllo and a graco contender for travel. We barely use the car, but i still wanted two car seats. plus when people come visit, i just loan out the second car seat so i don't feel bad about it barely getting used.

However, we go to the west coast and Europe each once/year to see family and take a couple of smaller trips too usually (via air). Would it be crazy to get the Fllo just to keep in our car and then get the Cosco or Evenflo just for traveling with? The main issue is storage - i.e., we don't have much. Thoughts?

This set up is literally exactly what we have. Clek Fllo in the cars, Evenflo for travel. You do NOT want to be traveling with the Clek Fllo. That thing is a BEAST!

We have a Fllo and Cosco Scenera Next for travel. It works great for now, but our 17 month old is almost 30 pounds and the Cosco maxes out at 40 pounds, so we'll probably need another seat eventually. Just something to keep in mind if you have a big kid.

We have the Clek Fllo for home and the Cosco Scenera Next for travel. I asked myself the same question, but the Cosco seat is so light, now I can't imagine traveling with the Fllo. Plus it's only like $45 dollars if something were to happen to it en route (though we do use a padded travel bag and gate check it). We have very little space in our house (696 sq ft - 900 sq ft would be an upgrade for us!) but it has still been worth it.

we've always just brought our regular seat when we travel. We always check our seat in a padded travel bag though so being lightweight hasn't really matter

We have a Cosco just for travel. Seems handy to have not just for that, but if we ever had a to get in another car last minute, etc. The britax boulevard in my car is HEAVY.

We have a Nextfit for our car and a Cosco Scenara Next for travel or if DH has the car and I need to take DS to a doctor appointment in a cab (happened to us age weekends ago).

We have 5 seats and 2 kids. A pair of Fllos work wonderfully for travel (for us).
