I don't think even massive protests, unless they're from the current Nancy supporters, will help. And even Nancy's tantrum didn't turn them around, I don't know what will, unless it's being forced to admit they their entitled attitudes have not only screwed over residents south of 29, but the "I got mine" contingent, too.

We need SB members who can crunch data (or at least ask for and understand the crunching) and deliver bad news, and we need voters who demand that. NVD can't deal with large-scale planning and PKM has no idea how to support teachers -- he's a score-chaser. Until they're both gone, we're fucked.

And that they would try to spin it as if it's anything other than a complete failure is beyond reason.

I don't know what we'll do and I am hoping that a lot of people move away. I don't think that's realistic, though. We are here b/c the schools *are* good ( i LOVE our elementary), we like being able to walk instead of drive for a lot of trips and the commute means we get to spend time with our family instead of other commuters stuck in traffic. I saw a new community out in LC a few weeks back that looks charming, but I realized we'd never see our kids until the weekend b/c we'd be in traffic for hours and hours a week. I wish we could afford private.

Although, to keep it hip like the kids today demand, they spell it Byond Reason. (Like Aspire2Excellence, and just as stupid.)

They Have literally said that online learning and shifts are the future. They have said it. Don't get me wrong, I initially thought it was some sort of strategy. APS was throwing out terrible ideas, to mobilize parents. Help get a ground swell of support, to ask for land.

We all need to wake up and realize they have no intention of dealing with this. There is no secret plan. THe secret is: THERE IS NO PLAN.
Except getting enough of us to move away.
So, that's the plan. Hoping some of us move.

I wholeheartedly agree. They suck and will do nothing.

They are f@cking crazy if they think my 14-18 year olds will be taking online courses.

I've hated it for a long time. I've been planning our escape for a few years now. I refuse to go further away from DC or to a suburb.
