Program sounds incredible, the building and campus are nice, but are the TR and TRY programs consistently executed as promised? (I.e., is TRY essentially the same as TR, but really just in a different location?). We have the impression that teachers are happy and invested, the curriculum is interesting and academically challenging, and the environment is warm and inclusive where children get to be kids (time for play, not hyper focus on testing, etc.). Are we off base with our impressions?

The principal at TRY taught at TR when it first opened. So he's been involved for many years (with a brief break in VA public schools). The climate has definitely carried over to the new campus -- they were very intentional about their growth.

How expensive? Is it geared towards preschoolers at all?

Frankly I thought that springboard seems better this year than last. Not likely to change in terms of a new program though.

I know of a few kids who do CHAW and they seem to like it a lot.
