+1. Cable and HBO expressly prohibit sharing accounts. Not sure about the others.

Cable companies are not hurting for money. They want you to believe that this is what drives up prices, when really they drive up prices to make more money. It's like they are all in a race to see just HOW freaking desperate most of us are to give them more and more money every month.

So go for it OP. I say stick to them anyway you can. We pay for cable but I'd love to give them the middle finger and stop.

It doesn't raise my ire as much as people who stream bootleg content from non-US piracy site, but it's theft that drives up prices for the rest of us. And the content companies could very well change their minds and crack down on this in the future. It's not like they can't track the streaming info.

This. It's not thrifty, it's cheap. There's a difference. And it is stealing. I felt guilty about sharing my New York Times login info with my HUSBAND after I subscribed, and I'm not at all a ninny rule follower type.

My teenage nieces do this sort of thing with my DH's netflix, spotify and HBO accounts. His brother is too cheap to pay for these things. I don't like it. I don't think my nieces are moochers, but I definitely think my BIL is and I also think my DH is a pushover for letting it happen.
