Your husband is the same age I am. I'm pretty sure that song came out when we were in kindergarten. 28 and 33 aren't drastically different. You are young but not that young.

I am the one you quoted. I said I met my husband when I was 28, not that I am 28 right now. The song came out in November 88 when I was in 6th grade.

I think that four years can matter if the woman is older and ready to have kids. But it's not an unmanageable problem-just requires communication.

Divorced 38yo dad here. Have noticed no age issues dating women ranging from 31-42. Major differences (not necessarily bad ones) based on if they are a parent or not, with age not mattering at all in that.

I'm sure many or most women in their 20s wouldn't give a second thought to a late 30s dad, but the ones who don't care about the age difference definitely DGAF at all, or maybe even prefer it.

I am now going to choose to believe that this is a verbatim transcript of the relevant statute.

Read the news much? Mo Co high school. 14yo girl has group sex with 17 and 18 men in a bathroom. No charges filed.

My BIL is 7 years younger than my sister. NBD. Met when he was 24 and she was 31. Two kids, they're blissfully happy.

At what point? When they meet? When they marry? When they have children? WHen they divorce?

I know loads of people with this age difference. By the time the younger one is about 28 or 29, an age difference of 4 or 5 years is nothing, whether it's the man or woman who is younger.

Give a man until he's 30 to grow up. If he hasn't become reasonably mature and responsible by then, he's got deeper issues that will make for a lot of extra work on your part. Many of them grow up eventually, but trust me, you don't want to raise a family and carry all the burdens of adulthood with a manbaby.

I'm 10 years older than my fiancé. It works for us. Everyone's circumstances are different.

I'm sure on the basis of these three sentences some of the DCUM know-it-alls will chime in, as if they know me, and try to tell me a hundred reasons why it won't work, because God forbid someone on this board be happy.

THe bottom line is no one knows you, your background, your personality, or your life choices, nor do they know the other person's. If it works for you, age isn't that important.

Wife was 26, 5 years younger, when we met. Age wasn't an issue, was never even discussed; cultural differences and personalities were the issue.

My DH and I are 4 years apart, but he started school early so he was 5 years ahead of me in school. We met when I was 25 and he was 29.

Like 9:39, it only comes up with regards to some childhood pop culture stuff. I know about a lot of it because I have older siblings, so it's not huge. But yes, he was jamming to songs in high school/college that I was listening to in elementary school.

He used to make comments that "You are so young" when we first started dating, but honestly, it's rarely an issue now, 12 years later.
