If you don't know where you're going ( which it appears most drivers from MD don't seem to know ) pull to the side and fucking get it together , if you're an older driver you should know what the left lane stands for ( zero excuse ). As unbelievable as it may sound to you ,the answer is a resounding YES. Also as a PP pointed out , planning ahead is the key Coupled with the availability of modern day navigation systems, there isn't a reason for deer-in-headlights drivers like you on the roads

Not saying you have to hit the gas as soon as the light turns green (of course you need to make sure the intersection is clear) but within a few seconds is better than 30 seconds +

I feel like there are only two drivers in this area:

1) Slow-ass MOFOs- cars that are super slow, clogging the left lane, not accelerating onto a highway and have slow reaction times
2)Road ragers- zipping around in traffic, blaring their horns, tailgating the slow MOFOs, flashing their lights at the MOFOs in the left lane and flipping the bird to the MOFOs who can't use turn signals.

I'm the driver who drives at most 5 mph over the speed limit. On the interstate, I'll go 7 or 8 mph over. No more. I'm not in the left lane unless I am passing. I'm in one of the right lanes and I'm not going to speed just because you failed to plan. I've been driving for 35 years. No accidents and no tickets.

I also don't hit the gas the millisecond the light turns green. And I'm not going to start just because you are impatient. I stop at red lights. I don't gun it when I see a light turn yellow. So get off my ass.

Do not zip past a long line of traffic and try to merge in at the last second. I will happily wave cars in if they start to merge before the lane ends. If you fly by everyone else and try to jump in as your lane is ending, you'll find yourself on the shoulder if you are unlucky enough to try to merge in front of me.

I'm never late. I plan carefully and leave early enough to allow myself plenty of time. I usually arrive at appointments at least 15 minutes early because I leave myself plenty of time. A failure to plan on your part does not equate to an emergency on mine. Drive courteously. You are not the most important person on the road.

My peeve is when another driver is being nice and waves for me to go out of turn, like I want to be the one to mess up the flow.

Please don't drive if you don't understand that a right turn only lane is for, you know, right turns only. It is not for you to swerve around left turning traffic. Sorry you have to wait, but that is life in the big city.

NP. Am I a "road rager" if I want you to use the acceleration lane for what it's for, instead of moseying onto a highway, with cars traveling at highway speeds, when you are still only going 30 miles an hour? Because that is my current pet peeve.
