OP either makes too much to qualify for subsidies or he lives in a Republican state that didn't accept the Medicare expansion. Either way, OP has options if he doesn't want to pay for insurance: move to a different state, get a new job, etc.

In the meantime, I hope OP is campaigning hard for politicians that will support single-payer healthcare. This is the ONLY way to make healthcare affordable. Throwing out Obamacare will actually raise the price even higher than $1300/month.

What forced you on to the exchange? Have you priced insurance independently? Exchanges are still much cheaper and better coverage than trying to go to an insurance company and buying a policy for your family.

Who forced you onto an exchange? You can always buy health care insurance on the open market - no one is forcing you to go through an exchange.

Did you lose your job, PP?

Lol. Everyone who doesn't have health care and encounters serious illness is dying "by choice."

Fear not - some third world immigrant, probably illegal, has great health care at your expense.

Sorry to hear this PP. Pisses me off to no end. There are a lot of urgent cares that have popped up to compensate and they are really good and inexpensive. Don't be afraid to use them.

stop by Inova emergency room on weekend and you will see how the health care system works for illegal aliens.

Ouch!

Even Obama didn't support that. The truth is that almost no prominent Democrat supports a right to health care.

Without clarity of vision, they will lose.

Obama didn't win because of his vision. He won because he was the male Beyoncé.

That isn't a replicable strategy

The exchange did not cause your health care to be expensive.

Please enlighten us.

Obamacare is Romneycare is a Heritage Foundation idea. The system is meant to profit from people's health problems. By design. That's literallly what for-profit health care is supposed to do.

It's sad that the uber-rich guy (who used to laugh about women jumping on trampolines) blew his wad on Obamacare. He could have done more.

Uh, I get that you love your team and dislike the other team. But neither one (including yours!) supports single payer.

Sorry but Dems are still better.

The Dems at least do have other members who do support single payer. But the Republicans have ZERO who support single payer.

But it also goes to show the bigger issue in politics: campaign finance. Stop bitching about issue x or y if you aren't willing to take on campaign finance - because otherwise you will never get anywhere.

Waaah! My loser is better than the other loser. Pathetic.
