You have a source? 1993 was after the trauma center opened at UMd, and IIRC the murder rate fell when it opened, because what had been homicides became aggravated assaults instead. I am thinking it was higher back in the early 1980s - but I can't seem to find data from that far back.
Google is your friend. Pretty easy to verify. 1993 is height of crack epidemic.
I did google and did not find Baltimore city homicide data beyond the last few years. Really, if you are making the case, its on you to provide the link.
You must have used Yahoo search..

While that article does say that 1992 and 1993 set records, it does not in fact say what the homicide rate was in earlier years, which is what I was looking for. I was thinking more of a year by year table.

If they had given those cops a medal and a little
Bonus for Freddie gray you would still have good
Policing going on.
Stop and frisk. Should be encouraged.
But nope. She tried to frame the cops. So what do they care about going after the trash now.
Nope. They don't want the headache.
If that's an accurate description of what the police are doing and why, then they should all be fired. Bring in the state police or the feds.

Typical racist. This has nothing to do with Freddie Grey - an innocent man.
If he was innocent, why did he run?

PP, are you saying that the murder rate would be higher if not for effective trauma care at UMd and IIRC? If so, that doesn't negate what the PP had stated about the murder not exceeding 355.
