Not really. It's curriculum isn't AP heavy (rather than offering an AP science TJ offers its won, harder class) and that hurts its ranking under the US News methodology.

Interesting that BASIS schools in AZ sweep the top spots in most categories.

How long were the first wave of BASIS schools in Arizona around before they started to garner the current level of acclaim?
Not saying this is a good or valid ranking.
BASIS DC isn't eligible for this ranking because it hasn't graduated any seniors. The US News and World Report 2017 ratings are 2 years behind for AP and IB scores, and one year behind for PARCC.
I would imagine that when BASIS is eligible, it will turn up somewhere on this list. Their student body is pretty diverse and the kids all must take multiple AP exams to graduate.
FWIW BASIS DC staff turnover is low compared to other BASIS network schools and its student attrition is about the same.
BASIS DC has had a very high turnover year after year.

Wait, did anyone notice that Friendship is not on the list, didn't they not brag that everyone of their seniors got accepted into college. They also was recognized to have a large percentage of their scholar-athletes get full rides to prestigious universities. Application schools are recognized that have large AA populations, charter school recognized that has a large AA population and a comprehensive school that has diversity. Just pointing out that what is important is hardly needed to be mentioned as one of the best in this city. Prediction, the All-boys high-school will soon be on the list of best high-schools in due time.
All of D.C. High school age is overwhelmingly AA
ding ding ding
Not sure what point these posters are trying to make, but while the majority of DC high school kids are AA, not all schools are majority AA.
According to MySchoolsDC, Wilson is 39.4% AA. SWW is 36% AA.
