It's always rude and futile to try and push your religion on others. It makes people think less of you. Why do it?

Not pp, but who is pushing the religion? The OP opened a topic about Easter, which is a Christian holiday. So, she initiated the discussion about her feelings on the Christian holiday. If that makes you uncomfortable, just skip this subject.

Ugh. This is why Christians are unbearable. The refusal to believe anyone else has a valid belief if it differs from theirs. Wish they'd open their minds or close their mouths.

I am not a pp, but obviously the OP has some believes if she acknowledged Easter. Do you feel sad during Ramadan? Do you feel down during Divali?

Easter is not a cultural holiday, it's a Christian holiday filled with pagan filth.

They need validation.

Also a sad day for me since this was first Easter since husband and I split. We all met at church and I was so happy seeing our beautiful kids sing in the choir. And even though he broke up our marriage (cheating gambling) I felt 'whole' standing next to him; so weird!
I went for a walk after but could not motivate for much beside TV and stuffing my face

Similar story for me.
Lots memories of better days in the past. Most of my entire family now is deceased.
Today, I had to listen to my sister-in-law complain about her large family potluck. Grit my teeth.

Social media is fake. Most of those people are probably miserable. I am sorry you had a bad day OP and hope things get better. Tomorrow is a new day!

I have had a cold since Thursday and I've just felt awful. I have hardly left my house since Thursday. My family is on the west coast. It's been lonely, just me and kitty.

Give it a rest... not everyone believes in god.

Same here. It's becoming increasingly apparent DH and I are headed for divorce. We've struggled for over three years (but really have had issues well before then) and have tried marriage counseling with multiple counselors over the years, including our last one who was really great and helped for a while. The bottom line though is that we have zero emotional connection and intimacy. I feel like I'm dying of loneliness and I'm coming to realize I'd rather be lonely alone than lonely in a marriage.
