Bring lunch one or twice a week.
I Work from home on fridays so i bring my laptop. It's super small and goes in a lean backpack.
Honestly, when i see women with giant sized totes plus purses plus laptop bags leaving work every day, it comes across to me that they're inefficient martyrs. Clean your fucking purse out; you're just hauling a lot of junk around with you. And do you really need to bring a huge stack of files and your laptop home every night? And if you do, why don't they fit in your giant tote bag that is also overflowing with shit? I started asking colleagues (subtly) to find out if i was missing something about why they took so much stuff to and from work, and several admitted they're lives were messy, they rarely did work at night, but always left work with intentions to tackle a ton of stuff. The men in my line of work are not hauling around anything except gym bags. If they need to login from home, they login from a home computer or just respond on iPhone or iPad. The highly successful women in my line of work are not schlepping around with overflowing totes and lap top bags, either.
Gym bag, and lunch bag and nursing stuff -- sure no problem.

Lipstick? Tampons?
Hairbrush? Keys?

Same. I'm in education (though not a teacher) and am at different locations daily.
I have a work bag, a purse, and a lunch bag. Until recently a pump bag. Sometimes a my bag. Sometimes another rolls bag if I'm doing a presentation or workshop. Sometimes a huge post-it pad. I always have extra bags in my trunk, and one of those reusable pocket bags in my purse. One day I opened up my trunk and someone said, "you must be a teacher!"
