Google earth is your friend. Eastern Calvert/Anne Arundelbbeaches are brackish water.

OP again. Either way my kids loved it. Sandcastles, paddling, shell and fossil hunting. They were happy for hours. And we spent more time on the beach than in the car, so I was happy too.

OP here. Good question! I'm not sure. The Chesapeake bay is an estuary - right? I'm not sure if that means it's sea water or river water.

When I think beach I generally mean any sand and water - but yes, I think salt water is my assumption unless it is qualified (such as a 'river beach' or 'lake beach').
