No it's far fairer to have the one campus close to the existing one- since every family has been on notice for some time that they were destined for South Dakota.

LAMB's experience is that they can move wherever and families will follow. They've done it over and over again, and while people complain 95% stay. They will do what makes the most sense financially and let the chips fall.

I don't think they are being dishonest - I think things are leaking out before they are finalized. Clearly something fell into their lap unexpectedly. There are also 3 buildings to disentangle from.

We were a LAMB founding family -- my older kid went to school in 4 different LAMB buildings in 8 years (Our Redeemer church, Mo Ave, Bunker Hill, Imagination Hope and back to Mo Ave) and the younger went to school in 3 different LAMB buildings in 7 years (Mo Ave, Imagination Hope, Perry Street).

The school lost few families as a result of all these moves, and the kids were fine with it.

The paperwork submitted in last 90 days to the DCPCSB says: Pk3-5th at Perry, Pk3-3rd at Missouri. 1st-5th at Walter Reed.

That is correct except that all upper elementary (4th & 5th) will be at Walter Reed, moving entirely from Perry. This is designed to smooth the transition to DCI located at that campus. And I believe the school thinks it is beneficial for all upper elementary grades to be together, for learning enrichment and resources.

I think people need to take a deep breath.

This has been a goal of LAMB's for 10+ years and yet they now are prepping to operate 3 buildings, not just 2. It would need approval from the DCPCSB before being finalized and current parents can weigh in against it.

This is frustrating news. I hope they find a new building that is near DCI or the MO campus. Otherwise, we'll be forever to leave the school.

Not for this coming school year and my understanding (as a parent) is that they will operate the three campuses for a while...

Two different people who work at the school have said this? I am a LAMB parent and have only heard them say in the past that they would like to consolidate. They recently sent an email to parents detailing a plan for next school year that included plans for all three campuses (South Dakota, Missouri, Walter Reed). Seems odd there would be a simultaneous plan to consolidate after just sending out that email.....

As I've heard it, they hope to wrap up a real estate transaction such that they can open in Fall 2018 in a new, single location (NOT Missouri Ave, SD, or Walter Reed). This would not effect the email plan that was sent recently, which is for the Fall 2017 school year. This would mean, among other things, that the new Walter Reed site would operate for only one year (if this is true).

Where is the new single location that you heard about?

I got the impression that the combined location would be in NE. Do folks have an idea on what properties meeting LAMB's criteria would be available in NE?
