Also NB here, with wide size, but not particularly light (840).

Love my New Balance fresh foams - I wear the stability shoe. Almost zero drop and wide toe box.

I have wide toes and a very narrow heel. I have found that the Nike Pegasus in wide width (D) works well as a light weight shoe for shorter distances only (under 7 miles or so.) I ran the Cherry Blossom 10 miler in them last weekend and didn't feel they were "substantial" enough for 10 miles. I actually knew that ahead of time, but I had some horrible blisters from previous running around my ankle area, and the Nike Pegasus were the only shoes I owned that were low enough to not irritate them, so I wore them anyway.
