Because for those of us who aren't super coordinated, it's just one thing to manage. I've never been able to manage bulky blow dryer and a round brush well. Now I just can use two hands to manage the brush.

OP here. This is me as well. I've never been able to manage the hair dryer and round brush.

I am the OP from the other thread about this product. I was turned on to it because juggling a dryer and brus was always a pain and it took too long to totally dry and straighten my hair. This is easier to manage and cuts down in the time it takes. I agree it does not add much volume but it straightens and smoothes beautifully.

Does it work on type 4 hair?

I was looking for something that would do the same but quicker and on a whim I tried this product and it works so well for me! It cuts down on the amount of time I spend drying/straightening my hair.

What works best for me is to wash my hair the night before and coil it up into a bun. Then in the morning, I take it down and it is still damp and in less than 10 minutes I am done with it!

Wow. That's crazy fast. Thanks for the tip!

Can someone tell me just how big this is? I just cut my hair into a bob - it's maybe chin length. I can still use my 3" round brush but is this thing bigger than that?

When I use a blow dryer and a round brush, I also need to use a flat iron. When I use the revlon dryer I don't need to flat iron.

I get a lot of volume - to the pp who doesn't - you need to pull your hair sections up and out at the roots.

I've been using a Conair version of this for years and years and I'm surprised it seems to be a new thing for so many people. It's the only way I style my hair. I can't imagine holding a blow dryer and at same time directing a round brush... what a pain! The hot air brush does two things at the same time with one tool. Like 10:07, I'll use a blow dryer for maybe 2 minutes for a base dry and then continue on with the hot air brush. Total time for hair takes about 7 minutes. I have an almost shoulder length layered cut, straight to wavy Caucasian hair, medium texture. The Conair works great.

NP here -- does this thing spin or is it basically just a round brush with a built in hair dryer? What is the diameter? Is it the equivalent of a 3" brush?

I wait until my hair is mostly dry, as it's so thin, its mostly dry in about 10 minutes. My friend uses it right out of the shower, she has crazy thick hair that takes a long time to dry, but this thing has really cut down on the time it takes her.

I actually find it works best on partially dry hair, or I pull out my old dryer and do a quick one minute "base dry" (just to get the big water out) and then switch to the Revlon.

Yeah it's huge-looks like the 70's Oldsmobile of dryers but stick it in a drawer and enjoy your good hair.

Saw this thing at ulta last week, considered it and hedged. It seems so big and bulky! But it does seem to have a serious fan base...

Because if so, I recently purchased it based on that thread about it on here, and it's literally AMAZING.

I have super thin, fine, limp hair. My hair has never looked this full of body before...I think ever actually. And, it lasts all day long.

I don't know what kind of magic or voodoo they put on this thing, but my hair has never looked this good!

That sounds great -- how long is your hair?

A little below my shoulders, all one length
