We save them, my neighbors give us theirs. Our PTA counts on raising 6,000 a year at least from box tops.

15:04 - it's even better to do all of the above. Every little bit helps! It takes no time at all to rip off a boxtop before recycling a box.

I think it is a waste of time. Our school gets $400/yr.

It's much easier to do Amazon Smile or grocery store rewards.

I do it, because I don't think I'm too important to just rip it off before recycling the box. It doesn't impact my purchase decisions or portion sizes, though.

How long do you think it takes? For me, it's litterally less than 30 second. I notice the box top, rip it or clip it, and put it in the envelope that is always pinned in my kitchen. Every few months, I give the envelope to my kid to take into school. The time you spent to type that response would be more than enough to "do" boxtops.

Our school does it but unfortunately the food we buy usually doesn't come with a box top.

Our Box Top chair has a full time job!

It's such an easy way to make money for your school, it's so stupid not to take the five seconds to clip the box top and send it in.

My son's schools and mine too have contests every so often. He has been to both public and private schools and even the private school collects them. It's easy money. Even my neighbor clips them and gives them to us. I rip them off and put them in a pile. While I am cooking, I will trim them and put them in a baggie.

My 6 yo loves looking for them and bringing them to school. My older child never cared. I don't do it. As PP mentioned, 10 box tops is $1.00. We donate hundreds to the PTA yearly so this doesn't seem worth it. Yes, it's free money but not worth my time.

Yes. It's minimal effort on my part. My kids drink Motts Tots Juice Boxes on school days.
