+1

I would never want to date someone who thought about and ranked people this way. Very shallow and off-putting.

The list of public U's that are above reproach for most Ivy League men is not infinite, but pretty much any big-time D1 football/basketball school would be legit. Everyone with a grain of sense knows that there are highly accomplished/highly successful/highly attractive women at any of the big public U's.
Other schools like U. of Phoenix or U. of Southern New Hampshire might require a little more 'splaining/back story.

Went to public schools all the way through med school and would love for some "Ivy man" to tell me that wasn't good enough for him. LOL

+1. You need a therapist, OP. And fast.

The ones who do have either a stick or their heads up their asses. I'm very attracted to smart women and there are plenty of them out there.

Yeah, but at the end of the day men really don't give a sh#t what their mothers think. DW may get years of hell from her MIL, but the man will just ignore it all.

He/she who cares the least usually wins. Those who care a lot - usually women - are the ones who go through the heartache and anxiety. Men get distracted by something else very quickly.

"Contempt" is a bit strong, but certainly social status plays a larger role in a man's attractiveness.

Only women care. The vast majority of men don't. The ones who do care are only worried about what their family might think if they are multiple generations of Ivy League grads.

Most women have contempt for men that they perceive as less professionally or educationally accomplished so they project this view on men. Most men don't care.

Yes it is true for the males but more so for the females.

That's typically one reason to GO to an Ivy - to pair up with another Ivy.
Look at Jared Kushner and Ivanka Trump.
Chelsea Clinton and Mark whoever , etc
